Rocketship Education Knows How to Help Students the Right Way

For Rocketship Education, helping students is the most important part of why they run a charter school. They want to do everything they can to help students succeed even if those students didn’t have a chance in public school. The company spends a lot of resources figuring out the best way to help their students be more successful and that’s what pushes them to do everything they can to help others with these options. It’s important to Rocketship to focus on how they can change and what they’re doing to make these changes. It’s also important for Rocketship Education to always focus on helping students succeed even when they’re struggling to make more opportunities for themselves. The time it took Rocketship Education to get to his point was important and it allowed them to focus on what they were doing for their students. As long as they knew what it would be like to help, they could continue offering these opportunities.

Students who study with Rocketship Education get an education unlike anything else in the world. Rocketship Education knew what they were doing when they started and made sure their charter school gave more opportunities for kids to succeed. Since they have access to more resources than they do at other schools, kids who go to any of the Rocketship Education get a chance to do better than they would if they were in a public institution or even a private school. It’s important to Rocketship to focus on how they can help their students be successful.

Even though a lot of the ways Rocketship succeeds are related to how they help students, they know they’re making a big change in the way schools handle different things. Since they are so different from traditional schools, Rocketship Education knows what they did right. A lot of people also get the chance to see how others will be able to help in the future. It’s important to the company to keep doing things that might make a difference for students who need to have access to all the opportunities they use. This system has been criticized in the past but they have been able to grow past the critics as seen in this article.

Orange Coast College, the Most Eco-Friendly Higher Learning Institution in Larger America

Orange Coast College built the Adams Avenue facility at a cost of $7 million in a record 1 year. It covers 5 acres and is a dream to continue the recycling services the institution has offered for four decades. The new structure houses offices, board rooms, and showers. It is left open throughout the week and affords a space for 45 vehicles for visitors.

OCC’s Recycling Services

People from the nearby cities can drop paper waste, aluminum cans, metal scraps, plastics and even defunct appliances. Visitors are compensated for certain materials by staff, i.e. 56 cents paid for HDPE plastics. 5 cents is paid for one bottle. It pays for aluminum cans, glasses, and quality plastics material.

Recycled Material at Orange Coast College

  • Drop off computers
  • Printers and projectors
  • Fax machines
  • Fluorescent bulbs and small batteries

The facility does not accept car batteries, chemicals, engine or diesel oil, paint or paraffin wastes. Old furniture is also not accepted and limits some wastes to 100 pounds.

Projected Benefits

This project saves a great deal of energy, keeping the state’s air and water as clean as possible, thanks to OCC. Resources like oil, limestone, and bauxite are therefore protected. Learn more: https://www.facebook.com/orangecoastcollege/

Eco-Friendly

Photovoltaic panels are able to produce electric power for their offices, thus reducing the number of undesired gases and coal releases in the air. OCC seeks certification for the center’s efficiency.

Vision 2020

The vision is to replace the old planetarium and construct modern dorms, buildings, secure housing and cut costs. One other objective is to make navigation around the campus easier for pedestrians.

Major Providers of Funding

  • Government bonds
  • Funding from CR& R Environmental Services

The Orange Coast College (OCC)

OCC was founded in 1947 when Costa Mesa voters approved of the idea in the ballot to establish a community college. The initial facilities were a gym, a library, and an auditorium, plus a spacious room for weddings and film watching.

The institution sits on a 164-acre farm from Southern California beach. It has grown into one of the largest community colleges in the United States, enrolling more than 26,000 students per semester.

Lucrative Learning Programs

OCC offers 135 academic programs, from technology to nautical programs. It offers fall, spring and summer sessions and is a fully certified institution under the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Rankings and University Transfers

It sends the highest number of students to the University of California and the California State University. Many OCC students transition successfully to other private colleges across the United States. Learn more: http://www.coastline.edu/myccc/
