Doctor Jennifer Walden is a plastic surgeon from Austin, Texas. Throughout the years, she has become one of the nation’s best surgeons. Also, she has been recognized by many magazines and news channels. On top of that, she has her own TV show called “Looking Good and Living Well with Dr. Jennifer Walden”, which is aired in Austin’s local ABC affiliate, KVUE-TV. Before Dr. Walden had her own business of MedSpa Walden Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center, she was an Attending Surgeon in Plastic Surgery at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, better known as the MEETH. Now, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern. Something that is very interesting is that Dr. Walden is of course a woman. The Plastic Surgery industry is dominated by men, yet this female doctor, along with her staff of sixteen women, is able to surpass other doctors. Not only is Dr. Walden a successful surgeon, but she is also a very successful businesswoman. She attributes part of her success in this field to the fact that she is a female.
This is simply because many patients see her and tell her that they want to look like her, therefore, they feel comfortable and can relate to each other. Dr. Jennifer Walden is always up to date and on top of new technology. For example, she is the first plastic surgeon to rely on SculpSure for laser fat reduction. This, along with other top-notch technology, like 3D machines, helps Dr. Walden differentiate herself from the rest. Also, according to the doctor herself, Austin, Texas has always supported female-owned businesses, which definitely helps expand her company and expose her name. Besides being a big influence in the Plastic Surgery industry, Dr. Walden is also a member of the Guardian Angel Society and other campaigns to help the society. There is no doubt she has created an amazing impact and continues to do so in any way she can. This is why Dr. Walden was named runner-up for Austin’s Woman of the Year.
